Mosh-Lite is the free browser version of a real-time glitch editor. Load a local file or camera feed, combine effects, adjust their controls and export a deliberately damaged-looking image or clip without first learning a full video editor.
Start with expendable media
Load an image, video or GIF you can easily replace, then add one effect at a time. Large changes are easier to understand when you know which control produced them, and a still image is a gentler first test than a long video.
Build a controlled accident
Glitch aesthetics work best when some part of the source remains legible. Alternate disruptive effects with quieter settings, watch the motion for several seconds and save only when the distortion reaches a useful moment.
Know what the free version is
Mosh-Lite is explicitly a demo of the paid desktop product. It is enough to test the workflow and make small pieces, but higher quality, additional effects and watermark-free export are reserved for Mosh-Pro.
Things to know
- Free exports are limited and include a watermark.
- Video processing can be demanding on older hardware.
- Grant webcam permission only if you intend to use a live camera source.
